ROCKINGHAM, N.C. - 3:35 p.m. It's a washout. That's the short version. The long version will be several days in the telling. Rain and cold weather descended on Rockingham Dragway again and the forecast is for more of the same tomorrow and Wednesday. The Sportsman National event was down to three final rounds - Top Dragster, Super Stock and Stock. The finalists in those three categories will split the final round purse. Most were already in the Tournament of Champions and any who were not, will be given a berth in the TOC. The finalists in the Elite 8 Pro Stock Shootout have agreed to split the purse. Resolution of the Summit Racing Equipment Allstars event and the Tournament of Champions is still undecided and will be worked out over the next few days. Keep an eye on the IHRA website for details and we will post them on Drag Race Central as soon as they are available. A lot of people worked very hard to get here and worked very hard to get these events completed over the past few days, but it just isn't going to happen in the near future.
