MOHNTON, Pa. -- Racers who want to run their cars one more time at Maple Grove Raceway will get their chance Saturday with a round of grudge racing. Also on the schedule is the rain-delayed Universal Technical Institute Funday Sunday. Gates for the grudge race, presented by Auto Locator, open at 9 a.m. Saturday with racing beginning at 10. Entry fee for drivers is $25, while adult spectators are $10 and children 12 and under free. These will be the final events for the 2009. Maple Grove will reopen for racing in Spring 2010. Funday Sunday is the weekend's main racing event as UTI students and instructors, motorcycles and everybody else can run in three eliminator classes. Everybody who races is eligible to win a trophy. All race entries must be 10.00 seconds and slower in all classes. Gates open at 8 a.m. with time trials beginning at 9 and eliminations at 1 p.m. Car and driver can run for $25 while spectators, crew and fans will be admitted for $10.
