Rain Truncates Sunday Schedule
By Larry Sullivan

BROWNSBURG, Ind. - 12:15 p.m. - The rain continues, heavy at times, but so far there haven't been any severe side effects (like wind, hail, and other nasty stuff).

If we get a window this afternoon and evening, the schedule will be a carbon-copy of yesterday's post-rain schedule, swapping Top Fuel and Funny Car.

Sportsman racing scheduled for today is postponed.

If the race can be run tomorrow, Top Alcohol and Pro Mod qualifying is closed and those fields will run their eliminations, along with the Professional and remaining Sportsman eliminations.

If they cannot run tomorrow, the event will be completed next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, and the Top Alcohol and Pro Mod fields will have their second qualifying session next Saturday.

If the race is postponed to next weekend, rain-delayed rules will apply to all Sportsman categories. Since all but Super Stock have already run their first round of eliminations, they will continue on those ladders while Super Stock will be "all-run, random-pairing."

Stay tuned, we'll let you know about any further changes as soon as they are officially announced (you really don't want to know about all the rumors).
