Left Lane: Tim Cullinan Runs 4.202/215.10, Now #16; Best prior run: 4.971/139.70, Was #16
Weather conditions: air temperature 87 degrees, relative humidity 57 percent, barometer 28.53 inches, adjusted altitude 4,391 feet, track temperature 114 degrees.
Cullinan launched hard
and then started to drop a cylinder or two before pushing out a head gasket. Apparently used up an
engine too as the word from the top end is there is oil. That will cost him five points.

Karamesines launched hard and keep it hooked up to make his quickest pass of the weekend to move up the ladder one spot. Todd dropped a cylinder or two right at the hit and he stayed in it and then started using up an engine on the top end. He makes his quickest pass of the weekend to get in the show. J.R. McMillen is up in smoke early and clicks it off. Pritchett with a good looking pass until around 800 feet when it dropped a cylinder or two. She still makes her quickest pass of the weekend and goes to the number 11 spot. Leah Pritchett's incremental times: 60ft-0.854 sec., 330ft-2.175, 660ft-3.088/277.15 mph. That bumps out Novelli and puts Todd on the bubble.

Torrence is up in smoke early and clicks it off. Torrence will stay in the field and by qualifying here he has clinched his spot in the "Countdown to the Championship". Millican had a hole out early and then right in the lights the pipes went wet and the engine went silent. He will not get in the show. This is the the first time Millican will not race on Sunday since Houston last year.

Dixon launched hard and keep it hooked up and hitting on all eight. Dixon with the quickest pass of the round, but will stay in the number seven spot. This was a good looking drag race...Vandergriff was on a good looking pass until right in the light when it used up an engine.
