MARTIN, Mich. - The "plan" was to run one round of qualifying for the Summit Pro-Am cars between the two Nitro Jam sessions, but two oildowns made that impossible.
One of the jets had a fuel leak and left a haze of kerosene on the track, so the "quick track prep" turned out to be more than a half hour.
Then one of the Pro-Am cars made a deposit on the launch pad, triggering another cleanup.
Hot Rod and Stock Eliminator completed their session, but race officials decided not to run late tonight to finish the Pro-Am round.
Instead, the second Nitro Jam session started when the cars were ready and all the Pro-Am competitors will get two shots at the track tomorrow before beginning eliminations.
